President Of FSSG Ex-Pupils Association UK

President Sitnah Palmer

Acceptance speech from the incoming president for 2025 to 2027.

I am deeply honoured and humbled to accept the position of President of FSSGIANS UK for 2025 to 2027.

I want to express my sincere gratitude to each of you for the trust and confidence you have placed in me.

I would like to thank our outgoing President Madlyne Harding and

all of us in the former Executive Committee for the hard work and

dedication over the last 4 years that have brought us here today.

I now hope and look forward to continue to build on that legacy with your continued help, support and commitment.

Together, we will face challenges, celebrate achievements, and we will continuously strive for progress and achieve success. I believe that with unity and determination, we will take our mission even further.

As president, my vision is to continue where the previous Executive left off whilst championing new initiatives. These include;

  • Welfare of our members particularly our senior members.
  • Support the Centenary celebrations of our school.
  • Undertake the refurbishment of the computer lab in our school as we have identified to be our 40th Anniversary Project.
  • Develop more innovative and interesting fundraising activities to help us achieve our goals.
  • Continue to work with and strengthen our collaboration with other chapters and alumni in the UK.
  • Engage in a Membership drive with particular focus on recruiting younger FSSGIANS.
  • Encourage the younger members to participate more in the association and sub committees.

I invite each of you to join me and this Executive on this journey—not as followers, but as partners. Let us continue to foster a culture of mutual respect, inclusivity, and shared success.

FSSGIANS UK means a great deal to me on a personal level because I truly believe that the education I gained from the school contributed immensely to making me who I am today and I am sure most of us feel this way. Thank you once again for this incredible opportunity. I am excited for what we will achieve together on this journey.

LET US ALL COLLECTIVELY, CONTINUE TO PLAY THE GAME.
